Couch crowned ‘Little Miss Shenandoah’

April 29, 1965 — Six-year-old Rhonda Couch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Couch, was chosen “Little Miss Shenandoah” Friday evening at the Shenandoah Elementary School over 45 first and second-graders.

Rhonda is a first-grader and a brunette and she wore a light blue dress and carried a nosegay of old- fashioned flowers.

She was crowned by “Little Miss Shenandoah” of 1964, Martha Ellen McAllister. She was presented a loving cup.

First runner- up was Pamela Price, a 7-year-old second-grader, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Price. She wore a red dress.

Second runner- up was Sherre Secrist, a 6-year-old first-grader, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Secrist. She wore a light blue dress.

There were 46 girls and their escorts in the contest.
