Dairl E. Colley, 77, of Stanley, Virginia died on November 19, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born February 12, 1943 in West Virginia to the late Riddle and Virgie Owens Colley.
He retired from Fairfax County Schools after 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Kevin D. Colley and siblings Ode Owens, Jim Colley, Graham Colley, Rhonell Colley, Richard Colley, Bob Colley, Gerald Colley, Gary Colley, Jerry Colley, Norma Nuckles, Irene Simpkins, Carol Gooden and Mary Sue Hayes.
Survived by wife Patsy Colley; daughters Cathy Compton and husband, Arthur of West Virginia, and Karen McBride and husband, Matt of Pennsylvania; son George Colley and wife, Wanda of Virginia; and sister Fairy Rose and husband, Beverly of Virginia; step daughters, Dina Tyler of Luray, Va., Penny Early of Opal, Va., Wendy Butler of Bealton, Va.; and a step-son, Joe Sprouse of Summerduck, Va. Further survived by six grandsons, three granddaughters and many great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at his residence at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 5, 2020.
