David “Deer” Allen McAlister, 43, of Shenandoah, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025 at his home. He was born January 24, 1982 in Charlottesville, Va and was the son of Crystal McAlister Merica and husband, Wade and the late Douglas Allen McAlister.
David was an avid collector. He enjoyed being in the outdoors mowing and fishing. He loved riding his bike. David enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by his girlfriend, Carrie Hutton; his brother, James McAlister and girlfriend, Missy Miller; sister, Lori McAlister; step-sisters, Karissa Gregory and Summer Couch; niece, Madeline McAlister and his special bonus family, the Hutton’s.
In keeping with David’s wishes, all services will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
