June 3, 1965 — A well attended Democratic Convention held in Woodstock Friday evening of last week named Charles W. Wampler Jr., of Rockingham County and Ralph J. Davis of Luray as candidates for the two District seats in the House of Delegates.
The District is composed of Rockingham, Page and Shenandoah counties and the City of Harrisonburg.
Wampler is a successful Rockingham County farmer and son of a former Page County extension agent and has been a member of the House since 1953.
Davis is a prominent businessman and civic leader in Luray and is general manager of the Luray Caverns.
