Donnie Davis Deane, 72, of Shenandoah, Va. passed away Friday, December 19, 2025 at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, Va. Donnie was born January 30, 1953, in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Delmer Davis Deane and Jacqueline May Andrews Deane.
In addition to his parents, Donnie is preceded in death by his son, Brent H. Deane; and sister, Teresa Deane Palmer.
Donnie was an operator for Merck & Co., for many years, until he retired. He was an avid outdoorsman, and found joy in hunting and fishing. Donnie enjoyed to fish at Smith Mountain Lake and also loved to cast a line in the Shenandoah River. Donnie will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Donnie is survived by his daughter, Erica Deane Comer of Shenandoah; sister, Dale Deane Hensley of Charlottesville; and grandchildren, Hailey Comer, Aidan Comer.
In keeping with Mr. Deane’s wishes, all services will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
