LURAY — The Luray Downtown Initiative proudly invites the community to the 4th annual LDI Christmas Tree Lighting, presented by Farmer Tony of Madeline Farms, on Friday, Dec. 5, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Rebecca J. Graves Regional Center for the Performing Arts Luray Plaza.
Madeline Farms is celebrated as Luray and Page County’s premier farm-stay, a joyful rescue farm where animals live their happiest lives under Farmer Tony’s care. Each year, Tony leads a hardworking team of volunteers who spend the week decorating the plaza and Christmas tree with stunning detail.
The Town of Luray delivers the grand tree on Dec. 1, and from that moment, he gets to work — personally donating all lights, décor, and creative elements that make the event one of the region’s most anticipated holiday traditions.
This year’s spectacle will be bigger, brighter, and more heartwarming than ever. The show welcomes back Cindy Lou Who and Timmy Two, the dancers of Dancing Forever Studio, and the REC Children’s Choir under the direction of Pastor Audre King. A special musical performance will also be featured by Kristi Wetherhold of PORCH+VINE, Luray’s acclaimed fine-dining restaurant.

PORCH+VINE — also owned by Farmer Tony — has quickly become the number-one rated restaurant in Luray, a title earned through its many five-star customer reviews praising the elevated cuisine, warm hospitality, and Shenandoah-inspired experience. This winter, the restaurant is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for lunch, dinner, and brunch.
Friday evening’s climax is a dazzling choreographed light-and-sound show synchronized to a festive Christmas score, ending with Farmer Tony’s signature snowfall finale, transforming downtown Luray into a storybook winter wonderland.
Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, explore Luray’s charming downtown Christmas shops, and enjoy the Chamber Holiday Festival beginning at 4 p.m., just one block away.
This beloved celebration brings together families, neighbors, and holiday travelers for a magical night in the heart of Luray.
