Fay Woodby, 90, of Luray, was peacefully called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. She was born on September 11, 1932, in Rockfish, Va.
Fay loved many things like crossword puzzles, sudoku puzzles, crocheting, watching game shows and playing the slots. If you said Charles Town, she said let’s go. She also enjoyed watching football, especially the Washington Redskins.
But more than these things, she loved spending time with her family and the dogs she had throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson P. Wray and Annie Elizabeth Sensabaugh Wray; her two sisters, Lila E. Eaton and Virginia Inez Rasnick; one son, Michael W. Cash; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Fay is survived by her children, Ronald L. Cash of Stanley, William D. Cash of Florida, Sheila M. Lester of Luray, and Lisa D. Quinn of Rileyville; a brother, Jackson P. Wray Jr. of Alexandria; 15 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 6, at The Bradley Funeral Home by Pastor David Morton, with interment immediately following at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
Lunch will be served at the Rileyville Baptist Church, 7044 U.S. 340, Rileyville, VA 22650.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, at the funeral home.
