Age 95, Luray, Va.
Franklin Walter Strickler, 95, of Luray, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, at Warren Memorial Hospital. He was born on Sept. 11, 1926, in Luray and was a son of the late Floyd F. Strickler and Nellie Strickler.
Franklin was a member of the Page United Methodist Church.
On Feb. 28, 1958, he married Frances Ann Sours Strickler, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, David Wayne and wife Alice, and Phillip Lee Strickler and wife Lynn, and one daughter-in-law Kym, all of Luray; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and the staff and residents at Hidden Springs Senior Living in Bentonville, whom he considered extended family.
He is preceded in death by one son, James Franklin Strickler.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Laura Schultz. Burial will be in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, at the funeral home.
