Age 79, Stanley, Va.
On Monday, November 17, 2025 our loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather Harold Fritz Wolf passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 79.
Fritz was born on January 13, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio, and was a son of the late Harold and Veronica (Sweress) Wolf. Fritz was a quiet man in life. He was not one for small talk nor gregarious, boisterous behavior – he was kind, caring and honorable in his approach to life. Always deeply dedicated to his family, he did whatever needed to be done to provide the support they needed. He was an active and involved parent and grandparent. He was a coach, a mentor and a friend to many.
Fritz was a loving husband who tenderly cared for his ailing wife of 52 years, as Alzheimer’s took her away. He served honorably in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968, and remained patriotic throughout his life. He held a strong, reserved faith in the Lord and served the congregation of Stanley Baptist Church for many years. He will be missed dearly by those who had the opportunity to know the real Fritz Wolf – not just the hard exterior, but the warm and loving ways hidden just below the surface.
He was preceded in death by loving his wife, Linda Karen (Ward) Wolf on October 28, 2018 and his eldest son, Donovan Fritz Wolf on May 17, 2020.
Fritz is survived by his sons, Tyler Mitchell Wolf, Travis Benjamin Wolf and wife, Donna, both of Stanley; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, wife and son, Fritz was preceded in death by his two brothers, David Wolf and Robert Wolf.
All services will be private.
Arangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
