Hisey appointed

February 1, 1961 — H.C. Hisey Jr. has been appointed Market News Reporter in the Harrisonburg office of the Virginia Department of Agriculture. His appointment was announced in Richmond by C.A. Middleton, supervisor, Market News Section, Division of Markets. Hisey will fill the vacancy caused by the retirement of Ernest H. Ralston, who left the position after 24 years state service.

Hisey, 38, is a native of Shenandoah. He attended local schools and graduated from Florida Southern College. In his new capacity, he will report the total volume of broilers, fowl and turkeys traded, prices and other pertinent information relating to the agricultural industry of the area.
