LURAY, Jan. 11 ― Page County Public Schools announces the distribution of free inclement meal bags for all children 18 and under (regardless if the child is enrolled in PCPS).
Inclement weather meal bags will be distributed during regular meal distribution times and locations on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.
Meals are distributed to all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
Meals are provided on a first-come, first-served basis on weekdays from 11:30am to 1:30pm and from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the following locations:
• Springfield Elementary School, 158 Big Spring Ln, Rileyville, VA 22630 – (bus area)
• Luray Middle School, 14 Luray Ave, Luray, VA 22835 – (bus area – access from First Street)
• Stanley Elementary School, 306 Aylor Grubbs Ave, Stanley, VA 22851 (drop off loop – at kitchen)
• Shenandoah Elementary School, 529 Fourth St, Shenandoah, VA 22849 (bus area – access from Third Street)
Households that are currently receiving meal deliveries will receive the inclement weather bags during Wednesday’s delivery.
Meals within the inclement weather meal bags are shelf-stable and require no refrigeration. These meals are to be set aside and to be used at such time as Nutritional Services is unable to provide regular meal pick-ups or delivery due to inclement weather.
PCPS will announce days in which to use the meals as needed. Each inclement weather bag contains 3 breakfast, 3 lunches, and 3 snacks.
