April 17, 1890 — There is a family in this county consisting of four brothers, which is an independent community of itself.
They make their wagons, their own boots and shoes, shoe their own horses, do all their blacksmith work, build their own houses and barns, make their own fencing, till their own land, weave the cloth and make their own clothes, and in fact ask but little aid from any source.
