James Harrison Isaac, born Sept. 27, 1944 in Tazewell, Va. died Jan. 6, 2022 in Shenandoah, Va. at his daughters home after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Ulis and Marie Isaacs of Hyattsville, Md. and spouse of 39 years Rachel Wyatt Isaac of Shenandoah, Va.
James is survived by his two sisters, Nettie Jennings and Janet Eanes of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; four children, James Darin Isaac of N.C., Charles Edward Isaac of Mt Airy, N.C., Troy Harrison Isaac of Baltimore, Md. and Laurie Lea Isaac of Shenandoah, Va.; and three grandchildren, Meagan Lea Isaac of Shenandoah, Va., Destiny White of N.C. and Thora Bayley Burke of Staunton, Va., along with their respective families.
James was a retired building maintenance worker that could be found most days spending time with friends at the Shenandoah VFW or Moose Lodge.
Cremation will be handled by Kyger Funeral Home. A small celebration of life ceremony is planned for the family at a later date. Friends are asked to enjoy a laugh and a beer in his memory. He would have preferred that more.

James was my brother and he will be missed very much. I loved him and will miss his phone calls and us talking. He went so fast with cancer. He is not suffering now and in heaven with God.
