Age 92, Luray, Va.
Jean Pettit, 92, of Luray, died on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at Whispering Pines.
She was born on June 4, 1928, in Page County and was a daughter of the late Andrew Stoneberger and Gertrude Good Stoneberger.
Jean was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Pine Grove.
On July 7, 1950, she married Charles Lewis Pettit, who died on Oct. 9, 2018.
She is survived by a daughter, Carla Selvey of Roanoke; a son, Kenton Pettit of McGaheysville; a sister, Doris Hilliard of Stanley; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Hite and Celia Huffman; and a brother, Willard Stoneberger.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 29, at the Graves Chapel Cemetery in Stanley by the Rev. Cathy Tibbetts.
Arrangements are in the caring hands of The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
