Josephine Elizabeth Wilkins Catron, 91, of Luray, passed away on Monday, Oct. 25, 2021, at Page Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Dec. 4, 1929, in Edinburg and was a daughter of the late David Monroe Wilkins and Harriet Susan Cooper Wilkins.
Josephine was a member of the Morning Star Lutheran Church in Luray, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Eastern Star for more than 50 years.
On June 2, 1954, she married Richard Sherman Catron, who died on Nov. 18, 1982.
She is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Fox and husband Steve of Luray; two sons, Leonard Catron and wife Donna of Luray, and Paul Catron and wife Sandy of Rhoadesville; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John R., Frank Z. and James C. Wilkins; two sisters, Mary J. Wilkins and Anna Bowers; and her caregiver, Natalie A. Pickett.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray by the Rev. Jeffrey D. Marble.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Morning Star Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
