March 31, 1887 — The lumber kiln belonging to Messrs. Warren, Woodward and Co., situate near their planing mill on Water Street, in Luray, was destroyed by fire about 9 o’clock last Wednesday night.
There was in the kiln about 10,000 feet of very fine lumber, which was being prepared for use on the Inn. Messrs. W.,W.&Co. estimate their loss at $300, which includes not only the lumber in the kiln, but also the kiln building and damage to other property.
