Kim ‘Mik’ Lee Lancaster

Kim Mik Lee Lancaster

Age 60, Luray, Va.

Kim “Mik” Lee Lancaster, 60, passed from this world to the realms of Heaven at Winchester Medical Center on Monday, January 27, 2025.

As many of you know, Kim was always a “sun” worshiper…and he still is worshipping as he is now worshipping the “Son” of God.

Kim worked for 38 years starting as a plumber and ending as a Plumbing Foreman for Bryant Group in Northern Virginia.

Kim loved animals and Rainbow Bridge was crowded with his four-legged family, Zeus, Kitty Coal, Maggie, and Boo Radley, who were waiting and quivering in eagerness at seeing their human Dad again.

Kim was loving, kind, generous, and so forgiving of others. He loved the ocean, skiing, going on vacations to different places, and he loved his son beyond measure. Some of his favorite foods were spaghetti, creamed potatoes, and a good steak.

One of the most beautiful Christmas trees you would ever see is if you went to his house at Christmas time. Kim painstakingly hung each ornament with perfection all by himself.

Kim is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lisa Michelle (Estep) Lancaster, his son Logan Slade Lancaster, and Logan’s girlfriend Lindsay Nicole Abbott. Kim is the younger son of Leroy Curtiss (deceased) and Bonnie Catherine (Petefish) Lancaster and is the brother of Mark Layne Lancaster.

A look at Kim’s hands will show they are rough and heavily callused but rest assured that Jesus won’t mind, it will just show that Kim was a working man. Kim finished his work on this earth and when he opened his eyes once more, he saw that he was with those who had gone before him and that he was in his everlasting home.

Those of us still remaining on this planet are crushed with the realization that Kim is gone and we can no longer reach out to touch him, hug him, kiss him, or hear his funny little wisecracks. However, we can still talk to him and we will always love him with all our hearts. We so look forward to the promise of a forever future in Heaven together once again when God deems it time.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 29, at the Bradley Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, at Beahm’s Chapel by Garland “Bubba” Gochenour. There will be a meal at the Luray Fire Department immediately following the services. The family wishes all to attend and talk about knowing Kim.

Burial will be in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.

If you wish to honor Kim’s life, please make a donation to the Page County Animal Shelter, ATTN Jami Cooper (Shelter Manager), 1261 Goodrich Rd., Stanley, VA 22851, Phone 540-778-2101.  We know that will make him smile…
