June 12, 1986 — The 25th anniversary of the Luray Ruritan Horse Show proved to be the largest and one of the most successful, according to secretary Junior Ray Miller. Unlike last year, the weather didn’t hamper any scheduled events last Friday night or Saturday afternoon despite Saturday’s showers. The event drew exhibitors with some 135 horses totaling 390 entries from Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and West Virginia. The largest class was the all- day pleasure with 26 entries.
