April 2, 1964 — The Miller-Campbell- Baker Post 22, American Legion, celebrated its 45th anniversary Thursday evening of last week with appropriate exercises at the Legion home.
It was also the 45th anniversary of the National American Legion.
The local Post was formed in 1919 with Major Carson G. Mason as the first commander.
For a time the local Legion joined with the City of Waynesboro but after a short time both chartered their own posts.
The Miller- Campbell-Baker Post has the largest membership in the history of the Post and welcomes all eligible veterans to join the Legion.
