Linda Louise Brock Shuler, 75, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Augusta Health, in Fishersville, VA.
Mrs. Shuler was born on June 5, 1949, in Arlington, VA and was the daughter of the late Ellis and Lillian Louise Cozzens Brock. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Marion “Bunky” Furlong.
Linda was a member of First Christian Church and was an organist for 35 years. She took great pride in her career as a social worker at the Sunshine House in New Market for ten years. She was also a strong supporter of her local democratic party.
After almost 50 years of marriage, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Shuler on September 29, 2023.
She is survived by one son, Alex Shuler of Harrisonburg; one daughter, Frances Stover of Shenandoah; sister-in-law, Sandra Jenkins; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Barbara Shuler; granddaughter, Lillian Yowell; great-grandchildren, Leo Anthony Yowell and Scarlett Elizabeth Yowell and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at First Christian Church in Shenandoah with Jim Perry and Anita McCauley officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Shenandoah.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the church.
