Lucas hitting .750 in last three games and picks up a win on the mound

SHENANDOAH, April 19 — Page County High School’s Noah Lucas has gone 6-for-8 at the plate during the last three games (.750), including two runs scored, six RBI, and a home run. The junior, three-sport athlete also picked up a win on the mound as well.

Last Wednesday, Lucas went a perfect 2-for-2, including a double, with two runs scored and three RBI in a non-district losing effort at Turner Ashby on April 12.

On Monday, the junior went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI, while also allowing only one hit from the mound and picking up a 6-0 shutout win against rival Luray at home.

The next day Lucas again went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored, two RBI and a home run in a heartbreaking 5-4 loss on the road Tuesday at East Rockingham. The district-leading Eagles (8-0, 10-1) had to score three runs for the walk-off win in the bottom of the seventh. Page lead the top team in the Bull Run, 4-2, heading into the final at-bat.

Page County (4-3, 5-6) is still holding on to third place in the district and will next host Strasburg (2-5, 4-6) at 6 p.m. this Friday, April 21.
