Margie Marie Meadows McMillen, 78, of Elkton, passed away September 3, 2022 at her home.
Mrs. McMillen was born July 1, 1944 in Page County and was the daughter of the late William F. and Irma Watson Meadows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Clifton Meadows.
She grew up in the Jollett Hollow area of Page County and attended Jollett UMC Church for a period of time. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crossword puzzles and coloring. She enjoyed helping to cook and clean, and loved listening to Blue Grass music at the Elkton Community Center. She was a machine operator at Trukut Door Company in Elkton before retiring.
Margie is survived by sons, Aaron McMillen and wife, Wendy, and Wade McMillen and wife, Tammy; brothers, Oliver Meadows, Faron Meadows and wife, Donna, and Freddy Meadows and wife, Ruby “Cookie”; sisters, Anna Belle Dean and husband, Arlo, Karis Merica and husband, Buddy, and Suzy Breeden; grandchildren, Heather Stoddard and husband, Brian, Danielle Collier and husband, John, Ryan McMillen and girlfriend, Laney, Brittany McMillen, and Courtney McMillen and fiancé, Chris; great-grandchildren, Blake Stoddard and girlfriend, McKenna, Landon Stoddard, Sophia Baldwin, Willow Collier, McKenzie Collier, Kori Ann Williams, Journey Collier, Arianna McMillen, Leah Shifflett, and Christian Shifflett; sister in law, Mary Ann Meadows, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg, with Pastor Carter Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the Jollett Cemetery in Page County.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial gifts may be made to the McMillen family for funeral expenses.
