Nancy Carral Stover Miller, 88, of Luray, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, surrounded by her daughter and son.
She was born on August 29, 1937, in New Market, Virginia, and was the daughter of the late Eugene (Gene) and Anna Lee Stickler Stover.
On February 28, 1959, she married Ronald Lee Miller, who passed away on October 31, 2005. They were married at the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Luray.
Nancy is survived by a daughter, Michele Miller Ellis of Chantilly, Virginia, and her husband, Gary J. Leygraaf; a son, Michael Lee Miller of Luray, Virginia, and his wife, Darlene Jenkins; and two grandsons, Austin Blake Ellis of Phoenix, Arizona, and Michael Lee Miller II (Mikie) of Stanley, Virginia. Nancy is also survived by two sisters, Bonnie Dellinger of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Judy Johns of Martin, Tennessee; and by a brother, Roger Stover of Staunton, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Stephan Miller; a brother, Charles Linden Stover; and a sister, Lois Vantine.
Nancy graduated from New Market High School. As a senior, she attended Girls State and was selected for the National Betty Crocker Homemaker Award. She was also a cheerleader. She was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church, where she made Christmas ornaments for the church tree, sewed book bags for children, made flower arrangements for the fellowship hall, and addressed member cards. She was also a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Brownie leader.
Nancy loved crafts, painting, sewing, and being around people, but her pride and joy were her two grandsons.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Luray by the Rev. R. Nicholas Eichelberger. A gathering in the church’s reception hall will follow the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, to the Sentara RMH Hahn Oncology Center, or to Blue Ridge Hospice.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
