Page County’s Department of Economic Development has obtained a $500,000 grant from the state that will fund local grants of up to $4,000 per business to help cover costs incurred due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant is aimed at helping small businesses in Page County with 20 or fewer employees.
Overview
To assist Page County businesses during the pandemic, the County of Page and Page County Economic Development applied for and received funding from the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
Page County Economic Development will facilitate access to those funds at the local level.
Individual grants to businesses are awarded as one-time financial assistance given to eligible businesses in an amount not to exceed $4,000.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, you must meet the following business eligibility criteria:
• Must have been in business prior to March 12, 2020.
• Your business must be locally owned or locally serviced.
• Must have 20 or fewer employees.
• You must have a D-U-N-S Number https://fedgov.dnb.com/webform/
Qualifiable Reimbursement
• Rent or Mortgage? (Home based business count 25 percent of Mortgage)
• PPE products after March 12, 2020?
• Do you have needs for PPE purchases?
Grant Amounts
Each eligible business may receive up to $4,000 in grant funds for the reimbursement of approved costs
Application Information
Grants will be committed and funded on a first-come, first-served basis, based upon availability of funds and submission of a complete application, with supporting documentation that justifies how the requested funds are related to recovery and/or reopening costs from the COVID-19 emergency.
