Page County Middle and High School staff working with law enforcement
~ PVN staff report
SHENANDOAH, Oct. 9 — A few hours before kickoff on Wednesday, Page County High School’s junior varsity football game at Strasburg was postponed due to an investigation by both school officials and law enforcement into an incident in the locker room on Tuesday afternoon involving “physical misconduct and discrimination.”
“Based on our initial findings, we decided to postpone the JV football game scheduled against Strasburg High School on Wednesday, October 8,” reads a statement issued Thursday morning by Page County Public Schools Superintendent Bryan Huber.
With three games remaining on the 2025 fall schedule, it is unclear when, or if, the junior varsity program will resume play.
“To preserve the integrity of the investigation, JV football practices and competitions have been temporarily suspended while we gather all relevant facts. A final decision regarding the remainder of the JV season will be made once the investigation is complete,” the superintendent’s statement reads. “We recognize that pausing the JV football season impacts our students, staff, and community. This is a tough decision and was not made lightly. However, given the seriousness of the allegations, it is essential that we complete a full and fair review before moving forward.”
Unconfirmed reports on social media indicate that only a handful of players (or less) may have been involved in the “incident,” but neither school officials nor law enforcement is commenting on the investigation at this time.
“Earlier this week, the administration at Page County Middle and Page County High Schools received information regarding possible incidents of physical misconduct and discrimination involving members of our JV football team,” Huber stated. “These allegations are currently under review by our school division and local officials, including law enforcement. I want to provide an update on our response as this process continues.”
Several sources outside of the school system have indicated that the incident may have involved “horseplay” or “bullying” that “went too far.”
“Upon receiving information that suggested students’ safety or well-being may have been at risk, we immediately contacted law enforcement and began a joint investigation,” Huber stated.
The Page County Sheriff’s Office made the following statement Thursday on its’ Facebook page.
“The Criminal Investigations Division and the SRO Division of the Page County Sheriff’s Office are actively investigating the incident referenced in the letter from PCPS Superintendent, Bryan Huber, Ed.D., ” the PCSO statement reads. “Due to the sensitive nature of this investigation and juvenile involvement, no additional details will be released. Investigators have been in contact with the Commonwealth’s Attorney and will be continuing to gather evidence and information.”
Superintendent Huber noted that the overall safety of students was the top priority moving forward.
“We care deeply about every student in our school division. Their safety and well-being are our highest priorities,” he stated. “Page County Public Schools is committed to providing a safe environment for all students — both in school and during school-related activities.”
“Our School Board maintains strong policies prohibiting physical misconduct and discrimination, and we have clear procedures in place for investigating and addressing any violations of these policies. When we become aware of potential misconduct, we act swiftly to protect students from further harm or retaliation,” Superintendent Huber continued in the Oct. 9 press release.
“I want to thank the staff and administrators at Page County Middle and High Schools, as well as the Page County Sheriff’s Department, for their professionalism, diligence, and sensitivity throughout this process. I also want to express my appreciation for the courageous students who have spoken honestly and supported one another during this time. They embody the care, integrity, and respect that define Page County Public Schools.”

Our superintendent is not an illegal immigrant.
Did I say the Supe was an illegal immigrant? The evil could be in many areas.
I really didn’t know what you were saying, but your link seemed to imply that. No one ever really knows what you trying to say Mr. Sanford.
Remember John Reinertson? A former Foreign Service Officer, who built his house on top of Massanutten Mt. I helped him with his kitchen. When I was leaving one evening he told me, “You’re a prophet without honor in your own land.” I suppose he was pretty right about that.
Horseplay? There was a rape? 🤦♀️
No. That is incorrect. No one was raped.
Well if you know definitively there wasn’t a rape, what definitively was it?
We can not give out details at this time, in order to protect the victim, our sources, and the integrity of the investigation. But we can say, it was not a rape. As the article states, this was (as best we can describe it) an isolated case of bullying that went too far.
Could there have been a sexual assault and a student was sodomized?
Press release issued by Commonwealth’s Attorney in the last hour says that was not the case. We will be publishing that very soon.
Was it anything to do with a girl with testerone.
No sir. It was not. These types of comments are why no one really takes you seriously. You have 10 percent of the information, but always seem to have 100 percent of the answers. This shows your just throwing out guesses for entertainment, and these types of cpmments are cruel to those involved. It’s either dementia or you are intentionally being cruel and divisive.
How is a girl with testosterone worse than the rape comments??
Mr. Arrington. Making a false diagnosis suggesting that I have dementia was not a good thing to do.
Dude can you give it a rest already? You seem to be a professional S stirrer.
Randy… I think you are being mean to Robert. He is clearly an imbecile with a low IQ. You should be nice to those with special needs. During the onset of dementia, you still retain some level of intellect which he clearly lacks.
By posting so often and in such a way, Mr Arrington should be grateful for the clicks by people who want to see what crazy thing I said this time. More clicks that can be waved in the faces of advertisers means this site is more valuable to them and therefore they can be charged more. I couldn’t care less who or how many people “don’t pay attention ” to me. I have a duty to perform. If anybody doesn’t like what I say or the advice I give, they can FAFO.
Why were the kids not involved punished by not even letting them play on the varsity team, incidents in the past at other area schools only involved the suspension of the student or students that had participated misconduct or violation of policies. What kind of message is the school board sending to the youth in future activities when the rest of the kids did the correct thing and brought it to the attention what had happened and probably in the future kids will stay silent and let things continue to happen as they were so they are not punished for something they didn’t do and it seems that once again that the school board as in the past seems to have different set of punishment for each school. Those kids on JV that were not involved don’t get to play the rest of the year are being robbed by the school board .
You actually don’t have a “duty to perform.” You sound troubled. You could try just reading the articles and then going about your day.
You’re another one.
Jeff. Nah, I can’t leave you with just the previous post. I want to help you and Arrington. I think you’re kind of dense and a shallow thinker too, but here, I’ll try. Arrington is obese. What can I say now? But I can help you both with a practice I’ve engaged in since about 1975. I’m now 71. I never knew what I was doing was such an outstanding solution until just within the last Couple Of Years. I was only doing it to kill bacteria like in a cut or abrasion from playing football . But now, I see, not only does this practice kill bacteria, like that which causes gingivitis, and MRSA, but even more. Also both onions and garlic contain a fiber that metabolizes fructose (sugar), in the intestines before it has a chance to go to the liver to be stored as fat. That’s pretty neat huh Jeff? But there’s more. MCTs. Medium chain triglycerides. Like coconut oil. MCTs are metabolized in the liver very quickly to be ketones (energy), before regular food begins to show up to power the mitochondria in every cell like ketones do. Ketones are never turned into fat. Jeff. You’re asking already what is this energy thing about? Sure thing. Here it is. The liver sees the ketones and rejects calories (carbohydrates like sugar). So you see, the onions/garlic and MCTs together are like a double barreled shotgun aimed at fat, to shoo it away! Right now I’m still the same size as when I graduated college. I’ve had four kinds of cancer. BCC, SCC, Prostate (staged 4+4) 14 years ago, and a rare form of melanoma. Like small arms hitting a tank, they’ve all bounced off because they weren’t there long enough to spread.
Never know, but it may be due to the above activities. Don’t forget Jeff. It’s necessary to actually exercise at least 20 minutes every other day once the pulse is at least 120bpm. This is all not medical advice. It’s just what I do. The chances are slim that anybody is paying attention, but check with your doctor first, especially about the heart, and allergies. So now Jeff, you two are going to damn well check out what I’ve said, and maybe you’ll live longer. I plan on hitting 100 y.o. and I have a duty to inform in the meantime, and I’ve written as slow as I can so you can understand.
Here ya go dude. https://www.valleyhealthlink.com/our-locations/valley-health-shenandoah-memorial-hospital-behav/
Also, if you write slow, that’s more of a reflection on you than me lol. You write slow? That’s what you’re saying. You probably need more help than I thought.
Jeff. Sure Jeff. You, Arrington and others can get the onions and garlic as dried minced onion and powdered garlic at Walmart. Mix 50/50. About a teaspoon in the palm of the hand 4x/day. They feed the good bacteria and kill the bad bacteria. Locally and systemically. I wash it down with cranberry juice that I dissolve modified fruit pectin in. Both also at Walmart. Fruit pectin is a fiber.
If I have to continue to deal with people as delusional and annoying as you, I prefer to die young, fat and happy!
Grrrrrrrrrr. Hahahahahahahahahaha
No one is mad. You’re the one who wrote a nonsensical diatribe no one read. Again, your scattered, inadequate and pathetic post says way more about you than it does about anyone else, not in a good way. Do me a favor. Write another long, uninteresting, disjointed, meaningless post so we can all have another laugh.
Jeff. It’s you! Sorry. I still think you’re pretty dense.
Is not alarming to you that at your age, you’re constantly at odds with people in the comments section of a small county news site? Hint, it should be.
Jeff, aka Perry Mason. Do you represent just yourself or the people of Page County at large?
I’ve been expecting a rational point by point analysis of what I’ve identified as important to fight against radical oxygen species, but all I’ve gotten is a ration of crap from two guys acting like teenagers that have escaped from detention.
Ok now I’m convinced. You’re really not all there are you? It’s a shame when an elderly person starts lose it.
Jeff. Watch out for any future letters from me. My motivation was jump started with the 1983 movie, “The Suvivors”. Starring Jerry Reed, Walter Mathau, and Robin Williams. Reed’s character is a hitman. Mathau and Williams are the targets. There’s a scene where Reed is making threats from a phone booth to Williams and Williams is talking trash back to him, and it’s making Reed mad as Hell and tearing up things. I thought, hey that’s for me. BTW. Here’s a tip of the iceberg kind of thing responding to the narrative you and Arrington are spinning that nobody reads my letters. About 10 years ago, or more, I came up on a vehicle accident on the Sperryville side of the mountain. I got another driver to turn around and call 911 from the top, and then helped the victim. It was dark at the time. He was conscious at first, but became unresponsive. I picked him up out of the van and did CPR on the ground. Another man arrived and knelt near the patient’s head. He wasn’t helping any but he asked my name. When I told him he said he’d read my letters. So anyway, the first compression broke some ribs. It’s to be expected with 84 y.o. patients. When it happened, I said, “There go his ribs., but we have to keep going.” After awhile, I checked him again. No breathing, no pulse.” The squad and police on that side arrived and took over . So I see the nonhelper go over to the police and point back to me saying I broke the victim’s ribs. Like I’d killed the guy. This is the kind of shit I’ve always had to contend with. He must not have liked my letters?
Congrats. You’re a hero. Now give me another story of how you improperly did CPR on an 84 y/o simply because he was unconscious. You do know the heart works when someone is unconscious right?
