Patricia Marie ‘Pattie’ Baker

Age 80, Luray, Va.

Patricia Marie “Pattie” Baker, 80, of Luray, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 29, 2026. She was born October 3, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Robert James, Jr. and Jean Williams Dale.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Alan Grace.

Pattie loved her rose bushes and her little garden that she would grow vegetables for canning and sharing with neighbors. She enjoyed going to Charles Town before her health would no longer allow her to travel. Pattie and her husband would go pottery shopping and they loved walking the Greenway in Luray. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Pattie is survived by her loving husband, David Baker; son, William Arthur Grace, III and wife, Leticia; daughters, Sherrie Grace Hammer and husband, Johnny, and Kris Micke and husband, Scott; brother, Robert James Dale, III; sister, Pennie Shoemaker; step-son, Joseph Lawrence Baker; grandchildren, Jessie Peterson, Karyn Lathe and husband, Josh, Keith Peterson and wife, Brianna, Brandon Grace, Kyle Grace, Samuel Pease, Benjamin Pease, Maddie Pease, and Eliza Pease; numerous great-grandchildren; nephews, Daniel Bandy, Jr., Monte Dean Shoemaker, Jr. and his daughters, Aaron Robert Dale; nieces, Heather Marie Cantor and husband, Dave and their family, Holly Renee Johnson and husband, Derrick and their family, Andrea Renee Dale; cherished friends whom she loved dearly, Jim Daley and wife, Christy, and Leonard Fitzwater and wife, Ellen, as well as her fur baby, “Molly” who she loved so much.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Jessica Goditt. Although your time with Pattie was short, you made her happy and peaceful. We are forever grateful for your kindness.

In keeping with her wishes, all services will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
