Patrick Edward Pendleton Sr., 84, of Shenandoah, Virginia went to his heavenly home on Monday, July 1, 2024 surrounded by his family. 

Pat was born on April 5, 1940 in Shenandoah, Virginia and was the son of the late Loretta D’Antoni and Harold Pendleton. 

On August 22, 1973, he married his “baby doll” Maxine Pendleton who preceded him in death on November 8, 2023.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brothers, John Lam, Tom Pendleton Sr.; sister, Sudie Kisling; brothers-in-law, Davis Cave and wife, Mazie, Larson Cave and wife, Dot, Jerry Cave and wife, Ruth and Johnnie Cave; and sister-in-law, Gladys Davis.

He is survived by his children, Patty Gordon (Billy), P.J. Pendleton (Mandy), Penny Williams, Danny Williams (Michelle), Peggy Trolson (Marc) and Jimmy Williams (Cathy); brother, Bob Pendleton; and sister-in-law, Nancy Pendleton; grandchildren, Cassey Evick (Ben), Tyler Trolson, Aaron Campbell (his care taker for the last eight months) Ryan Michael, Michael Kyger, Meghan Pendleton and Chloe Williams; great-grandchildren, Gaige Roach, Colt and Weston Evick; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Pat was in the Army and stationed in Fort Knox, Kentucky from May 1958 to 1960. 

He had a passion for playing softball. He was a diehard Baltimore Orioles and Indianapolis Colts fan. 

There will be a graveside service at Comertown Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Carter Dean officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
