July 4, 1889 — Will you be kind enough to mention again to the people of Page County the fact that the county is entitled to place, free of tuition, two young men in the Virginia Agricultural College and one in the College of William and Mary. Also, two young ladies in the State Female Normal School, Farmville, Va.

It is very desirable that these places should be filled, and I am only surprised that they are not, as it affords an opportunity for a number of our young friends to obtain instruction of a high order. Please urge upon our people the importance of taking advantage of those liberal offers on the part of the state.
