January 17, 1991 — The Page County Board of Supervisors put plans for a courthouse addition on the back burner at Monday’s meeting.
Lowell Baughan, an architect with the Luray firm of Baughan and Baukhages, presented preliminary plans for the courthouse addition to the supervisors, which includes office space for the General District Court and commonwealth attorney’s office, among other offices.
County officials hoped to begin construction on the courthouse sometime in the spring or summer but plans for the $400,000 addition have been foiled by state budget tightening.
“We will have to delay this project until July 1,” said District 5 Supervisor Robert Good. “We have to see what our budget projections are going to be.”
