LURAY, Nov. 8 — Luray High School Athletic Director Don Ehlers announced late Monday that all Region B quarterfinal football games planned for Friday night have been moved to Thursday, Nov. 10 due to bad weather being forecast for the end of the week.
“Weather forecast for Friday has gone from not good to worse,” Ehlers stated in an email.
No. 2 Luray (8-2) is set to host No. 7 Madison County (6-4) in a rematch of the Bull Run regular season finale four days ago at Bulldog Field. The Bulldogs won that game 49-14.
With a 22-17 win at Central on Friday night, Strasburg (9-1) won the Bull Run District title (regular season), remains unbeaten on the field (one forfeit), and remains No. 1 in Region B — just slightly ahead of Luray.
The Rams will host No. 8 East Rockingham (4-6), while the other two region quarterfinals feature No. 6 Buckingham (8-2) at No. 3 Central (8-2), and No. 5 Stuarts Draft (7-3) at No. 4 Clarke (7-3).
All games kickoff THURSDAY, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.
The PVN Sports Crew will be broadcasting Thursday night from Bulldog Field on the NFHS Network livestream.
