January 6, 1887 — A citizens meeting will be held in the hall of the YMCA next Saturday evening at 7 o’clock for the purpose of organizing an association for the relief of the poor of the town.
It is hoped that a sufficient number of our citizens may be induced to take hold of this matter to render a very small payment of dues, say 10 cents per month, enough to meet all demands.
We sincerely hope our citizens will attend the meeting, and by their presence and counsel aid in the organization of this movement, which we are sure meets with the approbation of all.
