Sharon Annette Powell Lucas, 72, of Stanley, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Page Memorial Hospital.
She was born on November 2, 1953, in Arlington County and was a daughter of the late Arthur Thomas Powell and Pauline Mae Cornell Powell.
Sharon was a member of the Leake’s Chapel Church of the Brethren in Stanley.
On July 2, 1993, she married James Edward Lucas, who died on December 30, 2022.
Sharon is survived by two daughters, Janet Smith and husband Allen, and Becky Hilliard and husband Michael, all of Stanley; a son, David Hilliard of Shenandoah; a sister, Susan Campbell of Stanley; her sister-in-law, Priscilla Powell of Stanley; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sharon is also survived by her dog, Honey.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Powell and Thomas Nelson Powell; and three sisters, Peggy Parsell, Jean Miller and Janet Powell.
The Bradley Funeral Home will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, February 23, for viewing and to sign the register book.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 24, at the Leake’s Chapel Cemetery in Stanley by the Rev. James Kite.
