Age 82, Rileyville, Va.
Shirley Lou Alger, 82, of Rileyville, died on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on Sept. 28, 1937, in Washington, D.C., and was a daughter of the late Madison Taylor Price and Mary Isabel Griffith Price.
On Jan. 24, 1992, she married Clarence Donald Alger, who died on Aug. 16, 2018.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy C. Ellis of Pensacola, Fla.; a son, Tim Smith of Rileyville; a stepson, Tommy Alger of Front Royal; a stepdaughter, Teresa Hyde of Front Royal; two sisters, Laura Lamar of Lynchburg, and Nancy Denyer of Florida; and a brother, Franklin Price of Florida. She was preceded in death by three bothers, Stuart Price, Earl Joseph Price and Robert Griffith; and a sister, Judith Carol Price.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
