April 3, 1890 — After consultation with many ex-Confederate soldiers we find them in favor of holding a reunion sometime in the near future.
What say you comrades, to having such a meeting the 4th of July 1890?
A quarter of a century has past since the war and yet we find that there are old soldiers in this county who have never met since they ground their arms at Appomattox.
We suggest that the surviving officers of the several companies from the county call a meeting at an early day and make arrangements for a reunion at Luray at the time above mentioned.
