August 5, 1987 — Strickler’s Hardware and Furniture Store has been sold to Garland Comer Jr. of Shenandoah, an employee of Sullivan Mechanical. The store located on Front Street in Shenandoah was formerly owned by David L. Daniel. The name of the 92-year-old business has been changed to Comer’s Hardware. Bobby Comer, a 25- year employee of the store, has been named assistant manager and Trudy Comer is serving as store secretary.
