Bonnie Lou Seekford Gray, 86, of Stanley, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab in Luray.
She was born on September 30, 1938, in Luray and was a daughter of the late William Theodore Seekford and Gladys Shenk Seekford.
On November 20, 1955, she married Perry Jennings Gray, who died on September 5, 2007.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Puckett of Stanley; and a son, Grover Trenton Gray of Stanley. She was preceded in death by two sons, William Jennings “Tater” Gray and Perry D. Gray; a brother, Billy “Cigar” Seekford; and a sister, Dorothy Sue Griffith.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
I remember during my childhood how Bonnie was like to a mother to all of us in Pine Grove. Tator, Trent, Dwight, Greg, Tony, Randal, Terry G, Rick, and of course Perry, myself and others would play for hours and always found a cold drink or sandwich at Bonnies house. Her memories will live forever.
I remember during my childhood days growing up in Pine Grove how Bonnie was like a mom to us all. The gang (Rick, Tator, Trent, Greg, Terry G., Tony, Timmy, Randal, myself, many others and of course Perry would spend hours playing throughout the hollow and always found a cold drink and sandwich at Bonnie’s house. Her memories will last forever with me and others.
