December 5, 1889 — Notwithstanding our repeated publication of the swindles and frauds of strolling tramps, we still hear of certain of our citizens who seem determined to deal with them.
Again, we say, believe nothing they tell you, and however oily their tongue or plausible their story turn a deaf ear to them and buy what you want from your home dealers whom you know to be reliable, and who are always to be found at their place of business.
There is no reason why they should not be able to sell you what you want as low as anybody else, and then they are responsible for their representations.
