November 30, 1989 — As a gentle, quiet snow began to fall on the eve of one of the most heavily traveled holidays in the United States, it appeared Thanksgiving Day might be adversely affected.
However, there were only a few accidents in Page County and the death toll on Virginia’s highways dropped from eight last year to five during the reporting period last Wednesday through midnight Monday.
