~ PVN staff report
LURAY — Five local storytellers will spin cultural yarns and share local lore passed down for decades when “Unpublished Stories of Page County” hits the stage of the Rebecca J. Graves Regional Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, March 15 in Downtown Luray.
“Join us for a night of storytelling from local residents. You will hear things that have not been written down and passed along for decades. Some are sure to ‘wow’ you and others will make you laugh. The audience is encouraged to ask questions and share their stories as well,” states promotional material from Performing Arts of Luray (PAL).
This FREE community event will feature:
- Christie Bosley Baker
- Jim Davis
- Gwynne Jewell
- Jim McNeely
- Nancy Lee Shifflett
“Unpublished Stories of Page County” will include a table of memorabilia, and attendees are encouraged to bring and share their own memorabilia. As noted earlier, audience participation during certain portions of the performance will be encouraged, as attendees may ask questions and share their owns stories.
“A reception will follow so folks can continue to reminisce,” promotional material reads. “Enjoy local favorite snacks and The Vault will be open for your favorite beverages.”
The event is FREE, but “contributions to our all volunteer, non profit theater are most welcomed.”
