Age 84, Shenandoah, Va.
Wanda Lee Comer, 84, of Shenandoah, passed away on Tuesday January 23, 2024 at the Sentara RMH Medical Center.
Mrs. Comer was born on September 30, 1939 in Shenandoah, and was a daughter of the late Everett and Vivian Margaret (May) Comer. She retired from Pilgrim’s Pride as a supervisor.
Wanda was a long-time member of the Shenandoah Assembly of God. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a caregiver to the elderly in the community, and was always giving to others through the church and local organizations.
On February 17, 1962 she married Frank Calvin Comer, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Comer is survived by her children, Keith Comer and wife Elaine, Frank L. Comer and wife Barbara, Cheryl Triggs and husband Tommy, Tammy Samuels and husband Nelson, all of Shenandoah; sisters, Judy Gochenour of Stanley, Lois Herring and husband George of Elkton; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death a daughter in law, Tracey Kay Comer; her brothers, Carroll Comer, Everett A. Comer and a sister, Imogene Rhodes.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Shenandoah Assembly of God with Pastors Carter Dean and Doug Gochenour officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery near Shenandoah.
The family will receive friends on Friday January 26 at the Shenandoah Assembly of God from 5 until 7 p.m.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton.
