Luray High School junior Emilee Weakley lead the Bulldogs to three wins last week on three consecutive days — for the second-straight week.
After an 18-day layoff following their first two games, the Bulldogs have won six games in the last 10 days. Weakley has lead the Bulldogs in every game this season and is currently averaging about 28 points per game.
Last week, Weakley had 35 points on the road at Rappahannock, while the Mountaineers team had only 34 points combined when she left the game in the fourth period. The junior followed that up with 27 points against Page County the next night.
The Bulldogs currently stand at 8-0 and are the top seed in the Region B tournament. LHS hosts eighth-seeded Stuarts Draft at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8 in the quarterfinals.
