Age 89, Luray, Va.
Wesley Asbury Breeden, 89, of Luray, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2024.
He was born on August 7, 1934, in Jollett Hollow, which is now part of the Shenandoah National Park, and was a son of the late Wesley Eli Breeden and Annie Della Lam Breeden.
Wesley was a carpenter by trade and a veteran.
On June 11, 1954, Wesley married Anna Marie Breeden, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Alice Foster and husband Mike, and Linda Breeden-Wallace and husband James, all of Luray; six grandchildren, Christopher Michael Foster, Heather Leigh Foster-Knott, Lara Marie Foster, Daniel Wesley Jenkins, Joshua Aaron Jenkins and Caitlin Anne Williams; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, Frank W. Breeden, William E. Breeden, Mathew Lee Breeden, Ausby Manuel Breeden and Cletus E. “Pete” Breeden; three sisters, Rosetta Catherine Meadows, Elizabeth Ann Weakley and Gernie Marie Gochenour; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services are planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
Arrangements are being handled by The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
