Youngkin for President

Letter

Dear Editor:

Since his victory in 2021, Glenn Youngkin lost two out of the three Congressional races he targeted in 2022, he lost both houses of the General Assembly in 2023, he refused to step up and take out Tim Kaine in 2024, he got shellacked in 2025, and he has even allowed for the loss of at least another two Congressional seats in 2026. But I am beginning to suspect that all of this losing in Virginia, which may have largely been difficult for Youngkin to prevent, may end up paying off for the nation in 2028.

Hopefully, President Trump will continue to disrupt the ossified federal government for the next three years and, unfortunately, upset a majority of Americans. Accordingly, J.D. Vance or Marco Rubio, Trump’s boys, may catch much of the anger toward Trump. Youngkin, in contrast, having not hurt Democrats for at least five years in a row, may be an attractive candidate for President in the general election. And I suspect that President Trump may already know this. (Keep in mind that President Trump likes tall, good looking, and wealthy.) If he does, his endorsement would easily give Youngkin the Republican nomination. And Youngkin may have the best chance of beating Gavin Newsome.

But, Governor Youngkin, please consider making it easier for President Trump to endorse you. First, restore the name of Patrick Henry Community College. Patrick Henry is surely a favorite of President Trump. Mike Lindell has told me that every other time he speaks with President Trump that the President calls Lindell a modern day Patrick Henry. State Board of Community Colleges Chairman Mike Wooten, a black retired Marine Corps Major, is waiting for your green light.

The other easy thing you could do would be to have President Trump tell Attorney General Bondi to release the Marvin Bush-Mark Warner criminal files, which her Department has confirmed that they have. If you do this, it will force Warner’s retirement. If you do it soon, it could force it while you have the power to appoint his replacement.

Note that the Warner criminal file will have extensive evidence of crimes committed surrounding the Battle Creek Landfill in Page County, where former Virginia Speaker of the House of Delegates Todd Gilbert works as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney. Surely he and Richard Cullen could work out another grand bargain that keeps my former boss and friend Mark Warner, who is now 70-years-old, out of prison.

  1. Youngkin is a self-serving politician who ran for office in 2021 by refusing to comment on January 6 and Trump’s bogus claims of the “stolen” 2020 election, and was able to win over soccer moms in Northern VA by making the ridiculous “CRT being forced in public schools” claim the hallmark of his campaign. Once elected, he kissed the ring of the king, making fools out of voters who thought he was running by distancing himself from Trump. The sweep of Spanberger for Governor was as much a referendum on Youngkin as it was Trump.

  2. Hey Dave, you’re the typical lib. You’re a hypocrite. You claim Youngkin didn’t comment on J6. How about you or any other liberal comment on the FACT that there were hundreds of plain clothes FBI agents in the crowd? How about you comment on the fact that Pelosi and Mayor Bowser declined additional NG troops when Trump authorized it? How about you comment on the fact that the police officers literally escorted people in and opened doors for them? How about you comment on Biden’s DOJ arresting old ladies for simply being there? You refuse to even acknowledge any of these things occurred. For some reason, you’re more worried about a governor’s comments on the event than the ridiculous things Biden’s admin did during and after it. It’s an absurd.

    • Only the President can call in the National Guard. Trump was President. He refused. He watched the violence unfold on his jumbotron, violence committed in his name, in the White House. Even members of his cabinet urged him to call in the National Guard. He refused. The mayor of DC has no jurisdiction over the National Guard. The Speaker of the House has no jurisdiction over the National Guard. There were not “plain clothes FBI agents” storming the Capitol. Those were brainwashed MAGAs who stormed the Capitol because they didn’t like the outcome of a fair election.

      • He did not refuse. There is a declination letter from the mayor. Also, the House is the responsibility of the Speaker of the House. Trump authorized 10000-20000 troops. Had he called them in without a request, you libs would have called him a dictator. You are so woefully misinformed. And btw, the Speaker and the mayor can request troops. But go ahead and just gloss over all my other points. You probably also called BLM riots “peaceful protests.”

    • Here’s what I know, Those people at the front of the crowd scaling the walls, smashing windows, beating police officers and dragging them down stairs were violent criminals attacking the seat of our democracy. Trump pardoned them and called them patriots. That I will not forget.

    • Those who made national security cases out of President Obama’s choice of mustard, him wearing a tan suit, and saluting the military while holding a Starbucks cup have no room to talk about “TDS.” And posting an article from Fox Entertainment does little to make your case.

      • Richard Jones. Where is the “Fox Entertainment” notation in the TDS article. TDS is a medically validated condition. Maybe you should schedule an appointment? BTW. Are you obese?

        • You supplied no credible link of your assertion of so-called “TDS.” Meanwhile I gave you three examples of ODS that your side suffered from and continues to suffer from to this day. I’m not obese. Are you obtuse?

      • Robert, your comparisons are absurd. You named 3 things from an 8 year presidency. Everyday, you libs have meltdowns about whatever Trump does and not only that, your leaders actively do their best to thwart his legally obligated duties like immigration enforcement. And btw, I’m more concerned about Obama killing American citizens overseas with drones than wearing a tan suit. I’m not sure why that’s not more offensive to you than anything Trump has done, but what I can tell you is that its objective proof of TDS.

  3. Dave. You Politico link clearly says what Trump could have done is mete assumption. Using some leftist sleazeball publication to justify anything is the same as relying on equity stock message board rumors and calling it research

  5. I have refrained from reading this local publication since Randy responded to a private email, that I should consider moving elsewhere. I agree. Unfortunately this country is so divided that I fear we are at war with one another based on political differences. Speaking only for myself, it is the holiday season and I chose to kill everyone with kindness. Please join me in giving, being kind, thoughtful and tolerant.
