October 16, 1890 — Mr. Chas. W. Harnesberger, who lived near Elkton, fell through a trap door in his barn last Thursday morning, falling a distance of about 12 feet, sustaining injuries from which he died on Friday morning.
It is not known how the accident occurred, whether by a misstep, or whether he was paralyzed and fell. His skull was crushed about the base.
The deceased was highly respected by all who knew him.
He was 62 years and 6 days old.
