Age 80, Luray, Va.
Anita Nadine Ponn, 80, of Luray, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at Winchester Medical Center.
She was born on May 30, 1939, in Sperryville and was a daughter of the late Ennis Leake and Estelle Atkins Leake.
Nadine worked at the A&P and Super Fresh in the East Luray Shopping Center until retiring in the mid-1990s. She was the the local customer service rep for United Food and Commercial Union and was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church in Luray.
She is survived by a daughter, Carla Ponn; a son, Chris Ponn; two sisters, Julia Ann and Faye; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Sable and Caleigh Ponn. She was preceded in death by Six brothers, “Gene,” Everette, Earl, Paul, Page and Jim.
A private burial was conducted at the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray by Pastor Jeff Marble.
Arrangements were in the caring hands of The Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, VA.
