LURAY, April 23 — An active search is taking place today in Shenandoah National Park after a teenager went missing late last night.
Ty Sauer, 18, of New Jersey, was last seen around 11 p.m. on Thursday, April 22 near mile 35 on Skyline Drive.
Sauer is a white male, 6’3″, 187 pounds. He has dirty blonde hair, brown eyes and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, blue Christmas pajama bottoms and white tennis shoes.
Trained search and rescue professionals and support staff, as well as two dog teams are assisting with the operation.
