Barbara Sue Wallace, 62, of Stanley, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
She was born on December 25, 1963, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Joseph Benjamin Cubbage Sr. and Ella Mae “Susie” Smith Short.
Barbara is survived by her fiancé, John Barbee; two daughters, Ashley Lawson of Luray, and Megan Holtzclaw of Shenandoah; a son, Benjamin Holtzclaw of Stanley; two sisters, Sandra Donelson of Shenandoah, and Debbie Dovel of Elkton; two brothers, Joseph “WeWe” Cubbage Jr. and Johnnie Cubbage, both of Stanley; three grandchildren, Jordan, Kiara and Elijah Lawson; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan and Ashton Lawson.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James Cubbage.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 9, at the Lucas Hollow Country Church in Stanley.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, at the church by Pastor Donnie Burns. Burial will be in the Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery in Luray.
Arrangements are being handled by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray, Va.
