June 22, 1961 — A number of Page County citizens have looked out in their yards in the last few days … taken a second look and headed for either a shotgun or the telephone for there’s bear wandering around in the Mill Creek section of the county. Sunday evening the animal was seen on the Harry Long farm, Monday in the area of “Long’s Woods” and Tuesday morning he was in the yard of Ralph Graves’ home on the C.H. Price farm. Apparently, he’s “just wandering” for no damage or injury have been reported.
