Local manufacturer donates $15,000 to two local non-profit organizations

LURAY, June 20 — The Andersen Corporate Foundation announced the recipients of its spring 2024 grant round this week, including organizations in the Luray area. The Foundation announced overall grant commitments totaling more than $1.17 million to 87 nonprofit organizations in its second of two grant rounds this year.

Funding decisions in the Luray area are guided by a committee of local Andersen employees, ensuring that local grants support areas of local priority. Organizations that received grants include: 

New SCBA Purchase — $10,500 to support replacing firefighting SCBA airpacks reaching the end of their life cycle;
Choices Emergency Shelter — $4,500 to support keeping emergency pantry stocked.

The Andersen Corporate Foundation was established in 1941 with the mission to improve lives and strengthen communities where Andersen employees live and work. Since then, the Foundation has donated over $70 million to worthy causes in the areas of housing, health, hunger relief and education.

Andersen Windows and Doors was founded in 1903 and employees more than 13,000 crafting products to serve customers across the new residential, home improvement and light commercial building sector.
