Betty Jewel Vaughan

Age 87, Shenandoah, Va.

Betty Jewel Vaughan, 87, of Shenandoah, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at her home. She was born June 27, 1936 in Luray and was the daughter of the late Henry Earl Jewell and Carrie Estell Weaver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Page Vaughan; four sisters and two brothers.

Betty is survived by sons, Jeff Vaughan and wife, Antonella, Larry Gray and wife, Diane; brother-in-law, Eddie Vaughan and wife, Phyllis; grandchildren, Wesley Vaughan, Stacey Vaughan Davis, Shane Gray and Jacqueline Blosser; great-grandchildren, Eli and Zander Gray, Sydney Staton, Charlise and Clara Blosser as well as several nieces.

The family would like to thank Richard Morris for all the personal care you did for Betty.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2024 at Beahm’s Chapel Cemetery, 1224 U.S. Hwy 211 East, Luray, Virginia 22835 with Pastor Carter Dean officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton, Va.
